Beat Face

Serving face

For a while now I've grown a strong attachment and appreciation for cosmetics! everything involving Beauty. When I go grocery shopping I'm always stopping by the Beauty ail , every time I go into target for one thing I spend a good amount of my time staring at the cosmetic section and even when I'm traveling I'm drawn to cosmetics (I end up buying makeup every time I go out of town lol) Overall I feel like cosmetics is a huge part of my daily life, I'm always keeping tabs on new releases and up and coming brands so here are my beauty favorites, some I've been using for years and other's I just added to my makeup routine.

Foundation

For foundations I prefer full coverage matte finishes my top 4 foundations at the moment are 1. Mac Studio Fix Fluid Foundation 2. Huda Beauty Filter Foundation 3. Stila Foundation stick with concealer 4. Hourglass's Vanishing Stick Foundation.

Mac's Studio Fix Foundation has been my got to full coverage foundation since 2018, I'm on my second bottle at the moment and sometime's I like to mix my studio Fix fluid foundation with my Huda foundation or one of my stick foundations.

Huda Beauty's Faux Filter foundation I'm almost out of but thats how good it is, the finish is semi matte with a sweet scent. It's full coverage and good if you have dry /dry combination skin.

Stila's Stick foundation with their concealer that comes on the top of the cap is also full coverage with a matte finish that feels hydrating , it goes on creamy and smooth and covers everything! I usually do 3 full swipes on each side of my face and 2 swipes on my forehead, when I use this foundation I like to mix it with my hourglass vanishing stick since this foundation is too dark for my skin and the hourglass is too light I like to blend them together to create my perfect shade, focusing the still foundation on the perimeters of my face and using the hourglass foundation as a highlight (under eyes , down the bridge of the nose, and cupid's bow, chin and forehead.( This is the combo I've been using for the past 3 months straight!)

Concealer

For Concealers I've been really into using Too Faced Born this Way Multi Sculpting concealer in the shade almond to highlight my under eyes

when I'm not using too Faced I'm using LA girl Pro concealer in porcelain to highlight and to color correct sometimes I mix in the yellow corrector to brighten.

(I use Mac studio fix concealer to sculpt out my brows nc 20 for my top brow and nw25 for under my brow)

Setting the look

For Setting my foundation I love to back, and I mean extreme bake, I'm pretty generous when it comes to the amount of baking powder is applied to the areas I'd like to Highlight which are my under eyes, bridge of my nose, forehead, chin and I also like to cut my contour with Baking powder.

My favorite setting/ Baking powder is the Sacha Butter Cup Powder in light , it has a yellow undertone that goes well with my complexion and its finely milled to give you a flawless pores finish, it's also a lot cheaper then many other high end brands setting powders ($24.00)

Powders/ Bronzers

I use Mac's Studio Fix Plus Foundation powder to in nc 20 to sex my under eyes after I bake and it makes the biggest difference, it gives me the most flawless smooth looking under eyes! and occasionally I'll use Macs studio fix plus powder foundation in c6 to throw some color back into my face after I bake on areas I didn't bake (perimeters of the face)

I use Mac's give me sun bronzer every time I do my foundation to give my face some definition and dimension and if want to deepen my contour or have a tan I'll add some of Mac's Dark deep mineralized skin finish on top of Mac's give me sun.

Blushes

My favorite blushes are all on the coral/ peach toned side, My go to's are

1. Too Faced Baby Love(discontinued sadly :( )

2. Mac's Peaches (this is my second one)

3. Mac's Gingerly (a nice warm neutral peach)

Highlighter

That Glow siss!! I love highlighter so much! it really ties in the whole look and just makes the skin look healthy and pawpin! My go to highlighters are (from top left to bottom right)

1. Amrezy's ABH highlighter collab is so smooth and buttery with no chunks of glitter so it gives you a radiant glow thats potent!

2. Ofras Rodeo drive highlighter

3. Mac's Oh Darling is one I like to use on its own or use as a first player of highlighter before going in with another lighter highlighter its perfect for when I have tan in the summer!

Eyes

For eyes I love using eyeshadow pallets , I tend to gravitate toward warm neutral colors and do the occasional bright eye here and there(by here and there I mean once a week lol). Here are my top 4 pallets at the moment.

1.My customized Mac 15 pan eyeshadow pallet I made for myself 2 years ago. I always travel with this pallet and love the warm tone bronzy shades in it, it makes good for and everyday pallet.

2. Karrueches Colour pop Brown Sugar Collab, when this collection launched last year I made sure I ordered the majority of this collection once it launched at 10:00 am ok! lol These shadows are so buttery and pigmented , well worth the price! I also have been bringing this on my travels.

 3. Fenty Beauty's Holiday 2018 Killiwat pallet , These shades are so unique , smooth and pigmented, all of these shades have beautiful reflexes in them that sometimes shift colors depending on the lighting.

 4. Desi X Katy Dose of Colors Friendcation pallet is so bomb, pigmented and also has color shifting shadows and intense glitter shadows. This pallet will give you the chic-est eye look ever!

Lips

For Lips I love nude shades always, I always try to do a dark lip once in a while but I always go back to nude/ neutral shades. For the finish of my lips I like a glossy finish Im always reapplying gloss through out the day (I hate the feeling of dry lips lol)

Here are my current favorite hippies from left to right

1. Elf champagne lip plumper (I have 3 of these 1 in my bag, 1 on my vanity, 1 in my work bag lol)

 2. Color pop's Karrueche Liquid lip in Chi

3. Nyx intense butter gloss in cookie butter

4. Sugar Honey lip treatment (for when I don't feel like wearing a full face)

5. Mac's Honey Love

 6. Mac Freshbrew luster finish so it's shiny without having to apply gloss

7. Bite beauty Blondie like and cheek stick

Lip Liners

And to go along with those hippies above I like to always use a lip liner. My favorites are

1. Mac's cork

2. Mac's Strip down

3. Morphe's sweet tea

4. Morphe's Bite me

5. Charlotte Tilbury's Iconic nude

 6. Morphe's Forecast (perfect with Mac's Freshbrew lipstick)

In the picture below I got these Morphe lip liners while in Vegas for the holidays and the price was so bomb all 3 dollars each! I'll always make sure to stock up when ever I'm at a Morphe store!

Lashes

Lashes have been my thing whether or not I wear a full face of makeup or no makeup at all I always have my Lashes on if I have my brows on lol I get my lashes from Ali Express! its takes roughly a month to arrive but they're so worth it for the price (each around $2.45) my favorite styles are d101's and E06 not wispy and thick flared lashes giving me a cat eye effect.
